Type/Lab 01

This publication documents & celebrates the work produced by GMD students during the Type/Lab workshop series 2021/22. The series immersed students in an environment that focused on type (& type design), language, message, composition, hierarchy, tone, balance, experimentation, visual grammar & dynamics.

The engagement from the students was reactive, considered & highly creative. The live processes they experienced & worked with were mainly analogue in construction & studio-based — a refreshing return to making & thinking, together in real-time, collectively, simultaneously.
