First year Graphic & Media Design student, Dian Jin, won a University-wide competition to design the seasonal windows for not just a shop on High Holborn.

Dian describes her design concept and process: “Every piece of the design has elements from Christmas and the cosmos. Just like a Christmas planet, this festival belongs to us and is filled with fantasies. I gathered various Christmas elements and then chose similar patterns of snowflakes and fabric. I used Illustrator to draw the vector graphics and bright colours were used to create a lively atmosphere.”

Natalie Stevens from not just a shop said: “…Dian’s concept stood out because of its bold palette and stylised design. For a first year student to come up with such a strong application is a real achievement and we’re thrilled with how it looks now it’s installed.”

Dian’s window will be on display at not just a shop until early January.
