GMD & Diploma in Professional Studies alumnus Daniel Chehade is masterminding and curating an exhibition at The London College of Communication in September as part of the London Design Festival 2014. The founder of Studio Chehade, Daniel’s has undertaken curation and design for the Alan Fletcher archive, exhibition design for The Hayward Gallery and working with galleries such as, Aram Gallery, Hidde van Seggelen Gallery and Peter von Kant. He was first introduced to Alan Kitching and the Alan Fletcher archive during his DPS year in Industry at LCC when he worked on a memorial book for Alan Fletcher before working for the Alan Fletcher studio after graduation.

On Thursday 18 September, London College of Communication will hold a shared Private View consisting of a trio of design retrospectives as part of the London Design Festival 2014. Five giants of graphic design are commemorated in‘Alan Kitching and Monotype: Celebrating the centenary of five pioneers of the poster’. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Tom Eckersley, Abram Games, FHK Henrion, Josef Müller-Brockmann and Paul Rand, all of whom were well-known for creating iconic and memorable posters.
