Recent GMD graduate, Alina Mityukova, had her work included in the Kitto Prize Exhibition in partnership with The Koppel Project. The Kitto Prize is a new annual award celebrating artists working with media and technology – film, video, sound, interactive systems, and the machines that bring them to life. Alina was one of the 12 artists selected from nearly 600 applications for the inaugural exhibition.
Alina showed one of her final year college projects, ‘Coral Bleaching’, an interactive installation that allows users to experience what happens when ocean temperatures rise. As users touch the corals, they can see how they turn white on the screen, creating a direct emotional connection to the impact of climate change on coral reefs.
