Loi Xuan Ly has successfully been selected as the designer of a prestigious new Identity
for The London College of Fashion. Loi is currently undertaking the Diploma
in Professional studies in the third year of GMD. His design was shortlisted by Dyllis
Williams of the Centre for Sustainable Fashion.

The Kering Award has been developed at the CSF at London College of Fashion and is part of a five-year partnership to support sustainable design and viable innovation in the fashion industry. The Kering Award is an opportunity for final year undergraduate and masters students at London College of Fashion to engage with business and design leaders, and to be offered insight in to two of their brands – Stella McCartney and Alexander McQueen

“The design was inspired by the work of Joseph Albers of the Bauhaus. The proposal was actually a development from a GMD project that I undertook in Year 1 on geometric patterns in relation to the colour wheel. The identity needs to be very flexible, a physical award, a mark on all literature and briefs, a background pattern on a website, the backdrop on a stage at an award ceremony”
