The Print Futures Awards is an annual initiative by The Printing Charity and this year they approached LCC to find designers who could refresh their printed materials. Students across courses from the Design School at both undergraduate and postgraduate level took up the extra-curricular challenge.

Costanza De Luca (BA (Hons) Graphic and Media Design), was finally chosen to design the Print Futures Awards programme, invitations and award event banners (thereby also winning a Print Futures Award).

The successful LCC students were also given the opportunity to visit Saxoprint’s printing press in Dresden, Germany. The Print Futures Awards ceremony was held at the House of Lords in July, celebrating the work of 77 other entrants from across the UK who study or work in printing, publishing, packaging or graphic arts.
