LCC hosts ‘The Modern Magazine’ curated by Jeremy Leslie (LCC alumni)

The Modern Magazine 2014 conference will take place in London on Friday 19 September.

Following the successful debut event last year, The Modern Magazine returns with another day of talks and discussions celebrating the power of editorial design. This year we’ll be looking at the future of publishing through the eyes of some of the most forward-thinking figures in the industry, with another strong mix of editors and art directors sharing their views.

We’re still completing the final line-up but can confirm the following speakers, with more to be added over the next few weeks:

Adam Moss, editor, New York magazine.
Kai Brach, founder, Offscreen.
Veronica Ditting, art director, The Gentlewoman.
Rob Orchard, founder, Delayed Gratification.
Elana Schlenker, founder, Gratuitous Type.

Peter Houston, blogger and man behind the Magazine Diaries.
Simon Lyle, editor of Hot Rum Cow and new magazine Poppy.
Danny Miller, founder of Little White Lies, revealing his new magazine.
Pekka Toivenen, ‘art dictator’, FAT.

The day of talks and discussion will take place from 9am–6pm at the London College of Communication, Elephant & Castle, SE1 6SB. Additional names will be added over the next few weeks along with further details of the day; meanwhile tickets are available from the magCulture shop at £140 each, with a reduced rate of £75 for students.
