Biography

I am a motion and web designer with a focus on simulation and animation inspired by various designers like Nikita Iziev, Beeple, and Etienne Jacob. I have mostly focused on motion and its various uses throughout my work using the digital mediums to program animated and simulated motion. Outside of motion design, I have used my interests in music, physics and computer programming to explore digital design.

Particles in space

In this project, I built many variations of n-body simulations coded with the p5.js library. These tests include many variations of attractors and force effects. Using these force effects I produced a variety of styles and forms for the animations and images this project generates.

This is a compilation of a few of the experiments on this website to demonstrate the motion and flow of these generative experiments.
In this simulation, all of the individual particles are assigned an attractor which will pull the particle towards it. As there is more than one attractor in this SIM the pull is altered as each particle changes its movement as it feels the pulling force.

Chaos Patterns

This project was a study of movement and flow created with double pendulums programmed using the p5.js library. The aims of this project were to examine and study the contrast of chaotic and symmetrical movement and flow to create a variety of patterns and images. These videos show a compilation of the experiments and the outcomes they produced.

Chaos Patterns
These patterns are made from double pendulum simulations drawing the arms between the joints to create these forms and patterns. These patterns are created by drawing a double pendulum's swing, then mirroring its movements on a different axis.
These patterns are made from double pendulum simulations drawing the positions of the joints of the pendulums to create these forms and patterns. To generates the colour and opacity of the dots, each colour assignment is attached to the X and Y values of the joint on the canvas.
Here the breakdown of the pendulums are shown and how they are adapted to draw these chaotic yet often symmetrical patterns as they are mirrored around the fixed point of the pendulum.

Boss Level

This project brief was to design and create concept art for a festival stage that a record label has taken over. This stage was designed for the hypothetical client, NightMode Recordings, tailoring the stage design to the record label. The concept was designed to represent the founders of the label and their promotion of streaming content creators and the gaming industry.

This is a render of the stage with all of the lights and screens set up for performances mixing the stage environment, the robots, and some animations that I made as placeholders for the festival or artists to put on the screens.

Here is a short render to show the lights and stage environment for a performance (all the screens are green as a placeholder for the animations to be played by the festival and artist).
