Biography

Hello! I’m Amal, a multi-disciplinary designer, and visual communicator who enjoys exploring the fields of typography, visual identity, and social design. My work, as well as my work methodology, focuses on creating human-centred visual narratives. I work with both digital and traditional printed mediums; I observe and experiment with ways in which I can fuse both approaches in creating collections of graphic commentaries.

'Still I Rise'

A Lino-printed poster series that pays homage to the journey of the women’s rights movement. The set of posters exhibit extracts from Maya Angelou’s feminist poem ‘Still I rise’. The series is an interchangeable and interactive exhibit inspired by hand-made protest posters. The design revolves around the struggle of women’s voices being visible and invisible throughout history.
