Garden of Earthly Delights – ‘Combining emerging technologies to create a hybrid reality where physical meets the digital’.
This project is based on the mural at Buddhapadipa Temple in Wimbledon, using narrative storytelling, projection mapping and physical computing to create an interactive immersive experience. Depicting the story of ‘the four lotuses’ illustrated at the Temple, it brings the mural to life using animation techniques and computing to enhance the experience, engaging audiences to learn about enlightenment and the philosophy of life.
When the audience is at a certain distance the scenes will change, showing a different story. I did this by using Arduino, Ultrasonic Distance Sensor to measure the distance and TouchDesigner to read and project the code visually.
