Desire To Waste
Desire to Waste is an exhibition that delves into the complex process from desire to waste, examining the underlying psychological mechanisms that drive consumer behaviour and the result of it. This vicious loop: we have a desire, we purchase it, and then we throw it away.
Based on this concept, DTW’s branding identity predominantly anchors in typography. By harnessing words associated with ‘Desire’ and ‘Waste’, the design approach adopts a unique perspective akin to data visualisation. The identity chooses to depict the data directly rather than using abstract graphics, using typography to create a sense of movement that reflects the transition from desire to waste.
The resulting visual identity serves as the cornerstone for various design elements, seamlessly integrated to convey a cohesive brand message. Notably, a monochromatic palette of black and white lends a serious, cold, and calculated aesthetic, aligning with the project’s thematic underpinnings.

ReachOutRipples
ReachOutRipples is a campaign that looks to empower college students to break the silence surrounding isolation and loneliness and encourage them to speak about their mental health problems. The core concept of the campaign revolves around initiating meaningful conversations to create ripples of connection, fostering unity and support for anyone who seeks help or simply just someone to talk to.
The campaign’s centrepiece is a compelling video production leveraging the concept of the ‘Ripple Effect’. Through a series of carefully crafted scenes, the video showcases how minor interactions can lead to significant positive changes in students’ lives. Inspired by the transformative power of human connection, each scenario highlights the cascading impact of simple gestures and discussions, reinforcing the importance of proactive engagement with mental and emotional well-being.
Complementing the video campaign are a series of strategically designed posters, each drawing inspiration from the touchpoints (scenes) depicted in the video. Aiming to challenge stigma, encourage open dialogue, and promote a proactive approach to mental health among the Gen Z generation.
