Hi! I am Cheryl, a multidisciplinary graphic designer. My practice revolves around thinking by doing, experimenting with both analogue and digital means. Notes from W228
Notes from W228 is an editorial project that documents the artefacts of the Letterpress Workshop, located in the workshop block of London College of Communication. The index serves as a memoir of the current space, preserving its memory before the forthcoming demolition of the college building.

Original Machines
‘Original Machines’ is an imaginary exhibition and conference series that explore the history and the current status of artificial intelligence’s (AI) ability to generate creative work. The concept of the visual identity is inspired by the tension in what we culturally define as ‘creative’ and investigates the boundaries between human and machine-made creativity. The series of interchangeable images used in the visual identity were generated during the machine learning process, representing the machine in its infancy while also symbolising the evolving role of AI in creative practice.

TW0EY3S
A visual experiment that documents the experience of a short-sighted person navigating a busy city without glasses. The concertina format was chosen to echo the disorientation and clumsiness of blurred vision, making the reading experience part of the narrative. The short publication is printed using letterpress.
