Biography

Hey there! I’m Chloe, a British born Chinese designer based in London. I hold a strong interest in UX and Visual Design, putting users at the heart of products to create human centred designs. I enjoy restlessly reinventing and continuously improving my design skills to impact the world and society for the better. I believe through empathy, listening, understanding and iterating we can create amazing and meaningful designs.

Mirrord

Mirrord, a mobile application that encourages education, confidence and reflection for creatives to overcome Imposter Syndrome. Using the Design Thinking approach that I learnt from my placement year at IBM I put this this into practice and discovered how the creative community around the world confine and lift each other up, then investigated more into this space. Mirrord is a platform for creatives to share their personal career journey stories and read other people’s struggle and success stories, creating a environment that recognises mutual struggles and that you’re not alone in feeling you don’t belong or are not good enough.

Using the multi-coloured gradient allows users to answer the self reflection statements in an interactive, fun and fluid at a fingers touch.

Sign BSL

A project focused on creating an interactive learning experience using Augmented Reality and machine learning to teach hearing, deaf or hard of hearing people British Sign Language (BSL) on mobile.

I created and animated the AR hand models in Blender and imported them into Adobe Aero to bring the models into my environment. I additionally used my own Teachable Machine model and Android Studio to create an object detection camera on my phone. Although these things were created separately, it gave me a good idea of how it could work together and as a result of that, the video above is a play through of an AR, machine learning and BSL experience in the form of a film.
