During Covid-19, social media caused panic through shocking headlines, which attracted elderly people to repost messages, leading to a large number of rumors, most of which were about food therapy that can treat Covid-19. The Chinese elderly have always believed in food therapy, that it is widely spread. This caused a lot of serious side effects.
Enepilly is a virtual meal replacement brand shopping platform. Its advertising story seems to promote its own products, but it satirises the concept that food is medicine as understood by the elderly. It uses factories to process food into medicines and then sells its own meal pill for curing disease, putting them in the form of food. The relationship between food and medicine has been blurred many times.
This project aims to make young people aware of the absurdity of the problems caused by the concept of old people taking food as medicine and remind young people to care about the elderly.
