This is the project to create a motion graphic response to the topic I chose.
My choice was to explore the RGB pixels of electronic device displays.
There are several sub-pixels in one pixel, and the shape consists of basic geometric shapes such as circles and squares. Sub-pixels gather to form one pixel, and one pixel gathers to form an entire display. But we don’t see these sub-pixels.
Starting from this point, I thought it would be interesting if we saw the project concept as a journey where sub-pixels go beyond the invisible display function.

This project started with the Japanese novel titled “The Miracles of the Namiya General Store” written by Keigo Higashino. I extracted the interesting parts of the book for my project. This a blog post about a one night revival of the Namiya General Store, asking for letters from those who previously sent letters to the store and received a reply before. This part is simply a textual blog post, but I think this is an important part of the book because it is a starting point that connects the three main characters and people. This is an “advertising” blog post, so I thought It would be interesting to create a short advertising video. I made a video using the retro-futurism concept because this book crosses the past (the 1980s) and the present in time and space.
