Fanyi Tang

Hello! I am Fanyi, a Chinese graphic designer with a multicultural study background in mainland China, Taiwan, Japan and Britain.
I have a keen interest in humanistic design. I regard graphic design to be the mainstay of visual communication, a universal language that can break the barriers of age, gender and culture. As a multidisciplinary designer, my design work covers branding & identity design, book art, information design and a variety of other design fields.

物Soul Mart灵

In Chinese culture,物灵 means the soul of things. In my first branding project for a fictional festival, I concentrated on the spiritual and communicational part of vintage trading. I hope to raise people's attention to the 物灵 and the hidden stories behind vintage items through this campaign.

Time Perception

"It is strange how we hold on to the pieces of the past while we wait for our futures". Ally Condie's words are about the perception of time. According to Adrian Bejan, the J.A. Jones Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Duke, “The human mind senses time changing when the perceived images change”. So I chose corrosion, accumulation and growth, three frequent visual changes in daily life as my narrative objects of time perception. The final outcome is a short video made by Adobe After Effects and Cinema 4D.

SIP - Black posters

In this project, I created a series of Augmented Reality posters to help my audiences to walk in the shoes of visually impaired person. I also hope to help my audiences to get rid of the bias on blindness and visual impairment by the unusual experience these posters bring.
