Project Context
Inevitably and increasingly we see computer graphics deployed to visualise and bring worlds to life. Your task is to imaginatively, creatively and pragmatically build a world using appropriate and relevant tools that challenges existing aesthetics, theories and conventions.
Outcome Design
After I completed the stop motion scenes and the library background design for my ‘Worldly Heavens’ demonstration video using Photoshop and Illustrator, I decided to use Premiere Pro to edit the scenes to combine them as one video and add three ‘hmm~’ sounds of myself and my relatives to improve the quality of my final design. I also used the visual effect called ‘Basic 3D’ from Premiere Pro because I wished to craft my life-logging digital space look dynamic, vibrant, exciting and almost three dimensional in form. I would like to explain that the outcome design operates as a life-logging program to help people who are struggling with negative thoughts, words or emotions from their social lives. It will activate by pushing the program’s red button from users’ smartphones which is the record button to record their ‘hmm~’ sounds for 10 seconds approximately. Through their mobile phones' recording process, their smartphones’ A.I begins to draw a random digital abstract illustration with the many different thickness, colours and illustration techniques of lines by detecting their ‘hmm~’ sounds. After users stop recording their ‘hmm~’ sounds, the sound files and digital abstract illustrations will automatically get saved in their phones. They can also add their sounds and digital artworks into illustration libraries, and they can see their contribution to digital artworks created by others from the library.
