Helena Foo

Hi there, this is Helena, a multidisciplinary designer from Hong Kong. I enjoy trying out new things and challenging myself. This year I've started learning 3D design from scratch. My interest is in fashion – my friends and I have started our own business, we're aiming to build a high-end streetwear brand called SHZY, in my final projects I've been focusing on that.

Visual Identity Guide for SHZY

The guide includes the core typography, colour palette, logo, graphics of SHZY, as well as website and packaging design. Our brand is still in preparation, we're hoping to launch our first capsule in October 2021.

Manifest: Launch it

This project is about preparing for the launch of SHZY including the advertising outcomes, marketing outputs and public relations content. I've come up with a pop-up event for the launch of the brand's first capsule and have created a 3D mock-up of how the space would look, as well as a roll-out of all of marketing strategies and Instagram layout. The products are in black because we don't want to give away too much information before the launch but the audience could get a sneak peek of what kind of items will be in our capsule.

My Virtual Art Museum

I created a mock-up of my ideal version of a virtual art exhibition space as an extension of my thesis on 'What makes a good virtual art exhibition?'. In my design, I want the audience to feel like they've entered an isolated world where they can focus on art. The building has 4 floors, each floor can be used for separate exhibitions. The space can exhibit 2D and 3D work, as well as still and moving image work of all sizes. If the work is too big to fit inside the building, I could add another island floating in the sky to cater for the needs of larger work. The reason I added a pond on the bottom floor is that I find the sound of water flowing soothing and calming, I thought the audience may enjoy it while observing the artwork.
