Hi, I’m Hongrui Chen (Selena).
My work focuses on graphic design, 3d modelling design, virtual reality and other areas.
I have interned at the Shanghai Daily in China and also at the Art Exhibition Hall in Shanghai.
I love all kinds of design moments and am addicted to them.

Mainstage – Mediamelt

I created a brand visual language for Mediamelt’s online music festival. The theme I produced was a Psytrance style online music festival. And I chose Goa trance as a sub-theme. I tried to use a more electronic, psychedelic style, with a younger vision, to make more young people aware of the good music of the Goa trance genre.

Susanna’s VR project/Garden of Earthly Delights

Susanna’s VR project offers visitors an opportunity to look within the painting, not just from the outside. Step into the world of art. My goal is to provide a deeper understanding of the iconic figure of Susanna by exploring 16th-century art. I aim to ignite the story behind the painting. I notice that my non artistic friends always told me they feel the painting is very ordinary or uninteresting. I think this will happen because they don’t know the background of the painting’s story. When I dive into a painting and the significance of what is behind it, I really feel surprised and awestruck. So what I want to do for my VR experience is to make the audience more interested in the art pieces, to resonate with them and also ponder the story after they understand the background.
