Between is a photographic journey through Lisbon, Portugal and London, UK. It is an exhibition that showcases the beauty of these two magnificent cities through a unique and creative approach. It aims to connect the two cities through photography and present them in a new and exciting way.
By capturing stunning landscapes of Lisbon and London and overlapping the outcomes, I’ve created an interpolation that portrays the beauty of both cities and the contrast between calm and agitation. The natural landscape of Lisbon seamlessly blends with the details of London, resulting in a beautiful fusion.
The exhibition is divided into two maps, one for Lisbon and one for London. In the centre, there is a projection of a video showcasing all the photographic interpolations, representing the essence of “between” that the exhibition is named after. Analog photographs taken in each location are displayed alongside the maps, highlighting specific points of interest.
The purpose is to experience the beauty of these two cities from a fresh perspective. The “Between” concept harmoniously brings together the two cities with the use of analog photography to add a timeless quality to the exhibition, emphasising the enduring beauty of both.
