Jak Perry

Other than design, a huge passion of mine is music, so for my final project I created a 2D music video animation for one of my favourite songs. Throughout this project I broke down the lyrics from the song “Birch Tree” by the Foals to create a series of abstract animatic and typographic motion graphics that communicate the lyrics, song and meaning well. I analysed key words throughout the song through different perspectives, carrying out visual research whilst experimenting with different methods and mediums and designing a video to communicate the song visually, enhancing the meaning/feeling for the audience.
