My practice is defined by an interest in both print and motion graphic communication. I work between a range of processes, from Letraset typography to Java Script code, producing works that explore craft and function. Works of design have a deep footing in the physical world, consequently I tend to use a work's real life setting whilst designing, such as developing a poster physically straight onto wall space. This has developed a strong affiliation with physicality, process and precision. My interest in motion-graphics is heavily rooted in a contrasting digital process, involving a range of programmes such as Processing, AfterEffects and Cinema4d. I find that working between both print and digital media proves to be an insightful process, one can inform the other. I hope to apply and develop the relationship between print and digital media further in the editorial industry and other future projects.
Portfolio
Physicality. Process. Precision.
This project explores physical processes of design, with a focus on material, typography, layering and composition. I worked closely with the physicality of a design in print production, producing a series of works (1-30) that gradually grow in precision. This project informed a wider understanding of traditional design methods, and introduced a new way of working as a designer.

Mainstage
Mainstage explores branding identity with a focus on contemporary motion graphic methods. I worked to produce an identity concept for 'Design x Art x Design x Art' at the Barbican: A festival and series of exhibition experiences exploring the relationship between the practice and processes of artists and designers. Through iterative testing, this project originated a graphic language that is applied to a range of static and moving outputs, including an interactive poster concept and exhibition media package. My outcomes aimed to celebrate the growing relationship between artists and designers. This informed a wider understanding of contemporary design methods, such as creative code/3D graphic animation.

Satellite
Satellite explores an alternative approach to visualising an editorial narrative, with a focus on contemporary motion graphic methods and image treatment. The theme of 'Disintergrate Vol2' observes ambiguous, surreal images alongside graphics and sound. The editorial aims to produce a visual culture, collating a varying degree of visual media, composed in both print and moving image editorial outcomes. The project involved working closely with creative code using Processing (Java Script) to produce abstract moving spectacles alongside photographs that followed themed sections (0.1 The Supernatural, 0.2 Phantasmagoric, 0.3 Occult).
