Ke Yue

A book about mushrooms – a complex and mysterious world that has not been fully exploited by humans, which also has great potential in various fields. Through this book I want to show people the fascination of mushrooms and mycelium, so that more people can enjoy them and support sustainable mycelium materials. The book documents the process of growing mushrooms and making mycelium at home, including the preparation of the spawn, the selection of the substrate and the environment in which the mycelium grows. There are also photographs of the various species of mushrooms that I have photographed on my walks and travels, where I have documented their beautiful forms and textured spore prints.

I have created a world of beauty that exists in a transparent bubble, inspired by the current online environment. Each of us has a utopia of our own in the internet, where all the good things exist. But this utopia is like a transparent bubble in which everything is clearly visible to the public. For this project, I used Blender to test fabrics, particle systems and materials to create this bubble world.
