Exploring the Living Space of Weeds
This project explores the living space of weeds from both the human perspective and the weeds’ perspective. For many people, weeds are merely unwanted plants, nuisances that mar the beauty and functionality of urban landscapes. They sprout from cracks in the sidewalks, line the edges of roads, and thrive on forgotten lands. In human perception, weeds are often seen as invaders. But what if we change our perspective? From the weeds’ point of view, it is a story of adaptation and survival.
Font design
I used the London Underground as the research object and analysed the subway signs and the architectural structures in the subway to create this set of fonts.
