Hi, this is Stephanie here. I am a graphic designer currently based in Macau. I am interested in visual communication and mainly focus on building brand systems and editorial. However, environmental issues have always been my considerable concern, so while thinking about the visualisation, I also hope that I can always consider the excellent option for nature. In my graduation work, we were given the freedom to research and study our area of interest, so I try to use my work to guide attention towards rethinking the symbiosis between the urban and nature.

herbby! –– Plant Your Soul
Plant Your Soul is a combination of online and offline activities inspired by human activity patterns that have changed due to the pandemic. When people are isolated indoors for a long time, they feel stressed and anxious. Contact with plants can alleviate this symptom, so the purpose of this activity is to delight people who have been indoors for a long time and re-establish the connection between the city and nature.
The Merge
The Hac Sa Beach, which can be directly translated into 'Black Sand' Beach in Macau, is naturally formed. The unique black sand is formed by the minerals being washed onto the shore by the waves. However, due to soil erosion in recent years, Black Sand Beach has gradually shrunk, and yellow new sand replaced the lost black sea sand. This publication records the situation and shows the distribution of sand in different parts of the beach, analysing each sample through data visualisation. The name "The Merge" is inspired by the blending of natural and new sand and the additional meaning of being forced.
