I am Manqing Zheng and I am a graphic designer with a deep curiosity about life. My design inspiration primarily comes from an in-depth observation of daily life and an exploration of peculiar or interesting cultural phenomena. I am committed to exploring the diversity of things from multiple perspectives and strive to present a unique viewpoint and innovative thinking in my work. I place a great emphasis on emotional expression in design and aim to ensure that each piece resonates emotionally with its audience. Through my designs, I hope to not only convey messages but also inspire new insights and emotions about the world around us.

Locus

This project aims to map the graffiti across four streets in East London: Buxton St, Spital St, Woodseer St, and Hanbury St. Through multiple visits, I have meticulously documented the content and distribution of this graffiti. Utilising various recording methods, I will present the relationships identified between the graffiti and their creators, as well as the connections between these artworks and their specific locations. Additionally, I will explore the diversity of graffiti culture in this location.

Post-Print: The Death of Digital

This project focuses on branding, specifically developing a visual identity for a virtual event hosted by the St Bride Foundation. The theme of the event delves into the significance of print work in today’s digitally dominant society. My approach will explore the dynamic interactions between humans and print work, particularly focusing on the traces left behind and the movements people make while engaging with printed materials. These elements will inform the creation of the related visual outputs.
