Biography

A DILIGENT AND ZEALOUS DESIGNER.

I like to take exploration as my biggest inspiration and use my research in designs and practice globally. Emphasizing strong visual communication and conceptual meaning, my projects are based on branding & identity and experimentation with media, keeping the engagement with my respective audiences in mind.

My meticulous eye for detail in graphic design comes from my professional training in photography under Raghu Rai and I believe my knowledge in the two disciplines complement each other.

Bed In A Box

Sleep acts as a fuel for the human body to function, which is often taken for granted.
My L1/L2 is a brief invitation to think about one's space of sleep and essentially thank themselves for a peaceful sleep. Expressing gratitude to recover and recharge. My project is an ode to sleep.

Bed In A Box
Re-directing and refocusing the attention on things human beings tend to ignore, my 'languages' are sleep, packaging and textures. I made a covered box to build curiosity in the viewer as they interact with the package to discover textures of the surroundings of sleep.

The components inside the bed box are strategically placed. As soon as the box is opened, the viewer is welcomed by a small note about the material, its importance to sleep and its sustainability factor.

This is further followed by five textures derived from the setting of a bed. The pillows, blanket, bed sheet, and sometimes a soft toy. The small pieces in the box resonate with an eight hour-long ignored comfort, every day.

Pouring Prints

A series of prints of patterns made by pouring liquid onto a piece of paper.

The aim is to give recognition to the art of making chai by the local tea vendors, hence I picked their pouring style as a spine of the research. It is an experimental project as it involved my ability to do creative research, explore, observe and get my hands on with materials.

A set of 3 printed posters – perfume, coffee pour by a straw and mayonnaise. These three represent three different consistencies of liquid ranging from the lightest to the thickest.

The dots>/<100 indicates number of dots there are. To make the outcome interesting for the viewer I made a small observation and introduced the dots to categorize the prints by the statistical representation of data.

I explored different styles of pouring ranging from a light spray to the hardest squeeze of a bottle, scanned and observed.
