Melbin Binu is a visual designer interested in experimental approaches to visual storytelling using images and texts in explorative ways, combined with the opportunities that different mediums provide to tell stories in unique and playful ways.

Stories Within Stories
Stories Within Stories is an experimental approach to storytelling, attempting to create a new narrative from within a story by pulling forward key words and phrases, accompanied by abstract illustrations inspired by the newly formed narrative. It provides the viewer with the unique opportunity to become an author, editor and designer, creating their own narrative by shuffling the cards.
Rainbow Goblins
An experimental take on traditional editorial design, this piece allows the content of the story to dictate design choices and layouts of content, exploring semantic and expressive typography. Accompanied by imagery that provides a unique interpretation of the story, inspired by music from the 1981 album of the same name, the book is transformed from a traditional children’s book into a playful and explorative example of experimental visual storytelling.
