Hi! I’m Michaela – a graphic designer from California based in London.

My practice is multi-disciplinary and rooted in bridging digital and analog processes. Areas of focus include: branding, typography, editorial design, product design, photography, creative coding, and illustration

‘Both / And’ is a book exploring lichen and symbiosis through visual explorations and editorial design. The content combines found images and text with my own photography. It is printed using a dual drum Risograph and a Xerox V180.

Taking inspiration from the Memphis design group, the aim of this project was to create a limited edition packaging for D.S. & Durga’s candle range that considered the packaging as a product in itself.

Brand identity for Post Print: an exhibition at St Bride Foundation. The identity utilises the colon from the exhibition title as a framing device to reveal halftone patterns of images, a key element in print.
