My name is Minnie Grubb, I’m a polymath designer with skill sets in typography, information design, illustration, sound design, lighting design and photography. I have specific interests in using these different disciplines to create and build discussions about health/wellness, issues specifically relating to the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as human relations in general. As a trans man and a skull surgery survivor, I noticed that a few specific issues are often rarely discussed and/or understood. This has created a window of opportunity for me to use my skills in design to help create solutions and give people a broader understanding of the issues that those amongst us face.
Portfolio
No Shame
A project that explores the reality of being a man that menstruates. As a trans man this project is about opening up the conversation amongst all men about the topic of menstruation and debunking the taboos about what it means to menstruate – allowing us to see that there’s no shame.

The prevalence of drug usage
A study of the prevalence of drug use in the UK amongst individuals aged 16 to 59. This data was from a United Kingdom report from the year ending in June 2022.

Make your escape
An editorial exploration of the music venue IKLECTIK and the humans that have the different experiences every night. The project explores every aspect of the location from the outside, often crafted from recycled materials, the performers and the visuals that accompany their shows, the equipment and the team working behind the scenes.
