FOUREVER

In the music industry, pop-up stores go beyond merely selling merchandise; they serve as multifaceted spaces where a group’s identity is prominently displayed, drawing significant interest, particularly from the younger generation. Leveraging these attributes, this project focuses on spatial design, art direction, and branding to effectively promote the Korean band ‘DAY6’, for whom promoting their new album, ‘Fourever’, after a long hiatus is crucial. By incorporating the new album’s concept and their unique identity, the project aims to create a pop-up store that aligns with these elements, enhancing branding efforts through this space.

Being Funny in a Foreign Language

K-pop albums consist of various merchandise such as posters, photo cards, stickers, and many other items tailored to the artist’s identity and album concept. These items serve as valuable collectibles for fans and help build a sense of unity between artists and their fanbase. Drawing inspiration from the prevalent merchandise culture in K-pop albums, this project aimed to create a new edition of the album ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’ by the British band, 1975. While preserving their unique identity and the original album concept, the new edition prioritised visual innovation to enhance fan enjoyment.
