Hallo, I’m Nalan a photographer and editorial designer from Germany. My work is driven by my love of capturing people, fashion, and culture through my own eyes. A big joy of mine is to express myself through different mediums and be hands-on with my work, which is why I’ve developed an admiration for analogue photography and print. Having a background in graphic design, I have a deep appreciation for traditional and modern print techniques, blending photography and editorial design together.

Playground
‘Playground’ is a photo series displaying a collective of dancers. Through photographic and narrative storytelling this book shines light on the local talent and community and provides a platform for expression. This book blends various printing methods and materials such as screen print, risograph, and digital print to create an active experience.
Erscheinung
This concept is all about ‘Erscheinung’ which is the German word for ‘Powerful Appearance’. I wanted to create the illusion of a woman being unnaturally tall and elongated to create images that are bold and eye-catching. The print is a blend of digital and risograph print methods.
Helena Stokes
‘Helena Stokes’ is a fashion shoot in collaboration with fashion design student Helena Stokes. The intention was to create the Art Direction for her latest pieces and photograph them for a hypothetical campaign.
