This project is to explore the connection between two completely opposite points. Document the process from point A to point B in visual language. The two opposite points I chose were “invisible” and “visible”. The theme that addresses these two opposing points is the shape of the sunlight.
We can usually see and feel the sun, but we can’t use a specific shape to describe it. But when a natural phenomenon – the Tyndall effect – occurs, we can observe the shape of sunlight. What I want to express is, from not being able to see the shape of the sunlight to being able to see it.
I did a lot of experimenting with different materials, as well as cyanotype testing. Through the different exposure time and the different transparency of the test materials, the images of different degrees of photosensitivity are produced, and the process of the image of sunlight from presence to absence is recorded. This also responds to my chosen theme which is “invisible” to “visible”.
