This project is based around my own dream world. I wanted to visualise my dreams. Presented as a small immersive exhibition, the viewer is invited to experience my dreams in person through the visualised graphics I created. There will also be a series of derivatives, postcards for visitors to record their inner feelings after seeing the exhibition, as well as phone cases, pillows, blankets and more. I also created static and dynamic posters and tickets to promote the exhibition. I hope that through the visualisation of random dreams, I can face my inner fears.
The past panel: focuses on my feelings of trepidation and fear when I first entered the dream world. At first I would always dream of strange looking things chasing me and the rides around me were different from the usual. So I was very helpless and all I could do was run forward as fast as I could.
The present panels: as time has changed I have started to become more mature and many times I have dreamt this scene and I am not so scared anymore. I began to have some curiosity as to why I kept dreaming about this place, and what this place really meant to me. So at this stage, I was more interested in exploring my relationship with the playground.
Future panels: I think I will probably keep dreaming about this scene in the future, this place has gone from being unfamiliar to me, to my getting used to the existence of this place now. It’s as if it is a place that only I will know, a place where I can pour out my emotions. I envisage a future where I will live with the place in my dreams and no longer fear it.
