Interchange is a web-based project that immerses users in the raw, chaotic nature of financial markets.

The project was built in p5.js. Using ChatGPT, I created a system that simulates price changes, news events, and market participants’ reactions.
I took footage from ‘Present Shock II’ by UVA, and created mockups where my project could have been physically set.

Not A Number

‘Not A Number’ is a code-based moving image project that explores the afterlife of the iconic red UK phone booths.

Once a symbol of UK communication and identity, they have evolved into passive repositories of human presence, bearing the marks of ads, graffiti, and ephemeral tourist interactions.

I recorded phone booths and, using ChatGPT, wrote a p5.js script that detects red pixels and movement in the footage.
Using footage from the ‘Thin Air’ exhibition, I imagined a space where holographic phone booths invite visitors to explore their form, texture, and lingering human traces.
