‘Bad Dream?’ is an art book I produced which contains illustrations from the perspective of a reader having a nightmare of their worst phobia. Since the drawings in an art book tend to speak for themselves, I went with a minimalist approach. I chose a total of 12 phobias and created 20 illustrations based on them. This editorial piece is for fans of the horror genre, especially the emotional and physical reactions to fearing objects or situations. Finding out about phobias that are unknown or that are well-known but not by name may also be educating for the audience.

This self-directed project involves choosing two flowers and two plants and creating a shirt based on their symbolism. The product purpose is to be able to connect to the audiences who love anime and streetwear, so that they are able to wear both. I created 4 original illustrations that have meaning to inspire and have purpose. The flower’s blue rose represents experiencing unrequited love and the red spider lily represents death. As for the plants, mushrooms show transformation, combining European culture (fairy folklore), and mistletoe representing kisses. I approached this by using the screen print facility and the OKI heat transfer machine. Through this project, I was able to gain information about screen printing on textiles, and I intend to continue on this road in the future.
