BOUNDARY 21

“The book (The Compact City) questions and criticises the one-off development model that humans use to continuously expand the scale of cities and consume natural resources to meet urban development needs. The book also pointed out that the city's essence is service and people, and people will consume natural resources in their behaviours, and improper urban forms will aggravate this consumption. Therefore, making the urban form more reasonable is very important to realise the city's sustainable development”

“Leftover spaces is a conceptual description of the unorganised, underutilised space in the city, and the easily overlooked space. Usually refers to the irregular, fragmented, marginal corner and negative urban space in the city.
In most developed cities, the leftover space in the urban structure can be seen as both potential and threat. Researchers pointed out the importance of active use of leftover space. However, there is not enough information to explain how to use these spaces in the future, which also proves that there are still unlimited possibilities in future urban areas.”

“BOUNDARY" is the theme event held by the CSA (city space art) festival in 2021.The CSA Festival is a festival that encourages people to explore and discover the leftover space in the city, arousing the public's attention to the leftover space of the city through activities”

GLANCE

For humans, a Typeface is a mirror image of human emotions. It helps people convey emotions by changing shapes and layout. In the digital age, the spread of text has become more widespread, and the Typeface's function has become more powerful, helping people transmit text content. Despite this, rapid development has made the use of Typefaces confusing. At the same time, a large number of typeface spreads have also made the sentiment of the Typeface blurred and numb. Because people look quickly at the Typeface, it produces particular traces. The traces swallow the Typeface and eventually became blank.
